What Exercise Did You Do Today?

Recommended Posts

I was sooo lazy this weekend! Saturday I didn't even change out of my pajamas! :o Today I did some cleaning & errands, but no formal exercise. I took advantage of being able to have a lazy day yesterday, but now I'll need to work hard at the gym tomorrow.

Walked around the lake again, 1.85 miles. Beat yesterday's time by 4 minutes, but that was easy because I didn't need to sit down and rest half way through, LOL! I think I'm going to sign up for a 5K walk/run in April to aim for.

I feel like JELLOoooooooooo everything hurts! LOL I started a new free weight routine, doing squats, lunges, push ups, etc. and oh dear God I hurrrrrrrtttttt! But it feels good, if that makes sense. I enjoy pushing the limits on my workouts. I got complacent and was barely breaking a sweat, but now I am sweating so much I have to bring a towel with me! LOL

Finally got back on track! Went to the gym yesterday and today, 90 minutes on the elliptical!

You're a better woman than I am! I have walked 30 minutes each day for the past two days. Today I went to the gym and did the elliptical for 30 minutes and it WHIPPED me, LOL!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
