Im so sorry your surgery didn't happen . I am still here as I'm an unable to pee n having a lot of pain' date=' and im running f fever 102.4...now,,,I will keep u in my prayers[/quote']

I had a really hard time peeing at first too. I didn't have a catheter and I would sit for at least 10-15 mins waiting for it to happen. It took a few days to actually be able to pee within a minute of sitting down. Hang in there Leilani!

Hi I need some help I had surgery on Monday and I've been doing good until today I woke up with more pain than usual around the 2nd incision on my left side. The staples look fine and there's no oozing but right above is a knot that is pretty tender!! I live 2hrs away frm the hospital should I get it checked or is this normal??

Jess, I think you should call your doctor. They will be able to tell you if it's normal or not, and whether it warrants you making a two-hour drive to the ER. Praying it's nothing unusual. Let us know what they say.

I called my doctors office and an oncall doc returned my call he said everything sounds ok I'm able to tolerate liquids and using the bathroom regularly so there's no cause for concern but if I develop a fever or vomiting to go in and get checked out.

My surgery was unsucessful...I was admitted at 8:30 am in the morning and ready for 9:30 am. The surgeon made 6 incision outside my stomach area and inserted the larpoc. equipment with air. Then they had to abort the srugery because my heart became weak and my heart rate was so low. My blood pressure went down to 70/40. They pulled the plug and the next thing I knew my surgeon was in the recovery room and told me that he almost lost me because of my heart and pressure. I was devastated and I started to cry. I don't understand why this happened to me? My Cardiologist told me that I was fit to do this surgery and he cleared me. After that they kept me in the hospital for evaluation. They ran some tests on me. They took many blood drawing' date=' a heart cat scan, and 2D echo. All came out negative. Even though the procedure wasn't done I was in pain and haven't eaten for 3 three days. Today they discharge me and I have mild gatric pain. The doctor said to me to schedule an appointment for Monday to discuss my condition and to reschdule my surgery. I'am so hurt and tramatized I don't know what to do now. I guess it was bad luck for me. I'm home know and I'm still crying. I can't believe I had a brush with death.[/quote']

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
