2 Week Pre-Op Diet Starts Friday :)

Okay so my surgery date is Friday August 3rd so this Friday July 20th I start my pre-op diet. It consists of cottage cheese, chobani yogurt, steamed vegetables, and lean meat oh yeah and protein shakes of course. Does anyone have any advice on how to not over indulge? I'm only allowed to eat 600-800 calories a day and I have to measure everything.

If you haven't started using my fitness pal app for your phone I would recommend that strongly. You can scan the barcode of your food and it records the nutrition info. Or you can just add it in yourself. Very handy to stay on top of cal counting.

After a day or two you will really get the hang of it. Also saving a few cals so maybe having half or full serving of yogurt as a snack twice daily will help.

Drinking broth helps and so does crystal light. A meal with lean meat and steamed veggies will be more filling than you think!

You are soo lucky. I'm on hmr800 liquids only for my pre op. my surgery is 7/24 almost there!

I have my fitness pal and LOVE IT!!! I can't do crystal light because of the artificial sweetener causes stomach pains. I'll definitely drink the broth. Do u know what vegetables are considered non-starchy?
