It's been 9 months since my surgery, I had my ups and downs. At first I felt like I made the biggest mistake in my entire life. But know I couldn't have it another way. I am so happy, and blessed that I made this decision. I've lost bout 130lbs. I am so happy

Congrats on 9 months but most of all congrats on being so happy with your decision and the success you've had :) Awesome job! I hope I can do the same when my time comes.

Congrats on your weight loss!!! I'm at nine weeks and thinking the same that maybe I made a mistake. Wish I could fast forward to nine months and actually enjoy my descision. I'm so happy for u. Yes weight loss is a huge reason we all choice this surgery, but in essence we all are hoping to be happier, weither happier with ourselves, or happier because we can enjoy life more, and u have achieved this happiness, congratulations!!!

Thank you very much. Remember everyone is different. And in your case it might be even easier for you than it was for me.

Wow 130Ibs, so impressed, well done. Can you say why at first you thought you had made a mistake....hunger, pain, missing solid foods, chocs etc?

I was never hungry it was more the fact that I saw my entire family eating all this foods, that I couldn't. I got so depressed. I wasn't mentally prepared, and on top of that I have depression.... So that didn't make it any easier. As time pass by I felt better and better. And I was mentally prepared. And I knew that I made the right choice. I saw the difference in me, my personality how I carried myself. I feel amazing.

Thanks for that, can't have been easy on so many levels, but from your pic you look great so it was obviously worth it. Again well done and you, and others on this forum, give me strength for what I must do, can't wait for my 130 but I can see that that is the light at the end of a dark tunnel :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
