Fiber One Protein Bars?

Recommended Posts

Just buy a few. I bought several boxes of Quest bars cuz I loved them at first but after eating them for a while they started to make me nauseous and now I hate them. I like some of the pure Protein Bars.< /p>

Love Quest bars. Lots of people find them to be more of a slider food. I haven't had any post op so I am hoping they are not a slider for me. I used them as Meal Replacements for me when on my preop diet.

Dumb question, what's a slider food? Is that a food that makes you go to the bathroom?

A slider food is any food that slides down easily and doesn't make you feel full. Some examples are frozen yogurt, pop corn, potato chips. Slider foods ate dangerous because they usually taste good and are easy to overeat and thus defeating the purpose of the sleeve surgery.

Thanks for the clarification. That was the first time I have heard that term. I bought the Peanut Butter and jelly Quest bar after my workout at the gym. It tasted... ok . But I got for the Protein. I will try different flavors and the pure Protein Bars. BTW..if anyone is looking for a Protein shake, I highly recommend Premier Protein that is sold at costco and Meijer's :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
