I had surgery on Thursday. I am to be on Clear Liquids for 2 weeks now. Is there a limit to how many sf popsicles and sf Jello I should have? Or should I be trying to get a lot down so I don't get dehydrated?

My doc didn't put a limit on SF popsicles or SF jell-o, but my stomach did. I wasn't able to eat much of anything for the 1st 10 days.

I had no restriction on SF popsicles, in fact they gave they to me in the hospital. As long as it doesn't hurt you go ahead and have them, I actually thought that the cold felt good to my stomach.

Does "no suger added" on a fudge pop count? Or are sugar free only the fruit pops? Don't laugh, I never shop!

No sugar added and sugar free are different. Also the pops arent considered 'clear liquids'. I think we can just have the sf popsicles, the colored ones...not like the pudding pops.

Can you recommend a brand/model of pop that's acceptable? I'll try to learn to love them.

This is a great topic...as I am in the mid stages of this. Hoping for surgery in Dec. Trying to plan accordingly.

I know Walmart has a generic brand thats pretty good. I say that because of the pina colada flavor, lol. But they are sold in a big clear bag, and pretty cheap too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
