Recommended Posts

Hi my name is Alicia and I had the gastric sleeve 3 weeks ago and I am currently on the puree stage and I was wondering if I could eat raviolis for this stage.

I wouldn't. Pasta may not be on your approved list. I would stick with liquid or baby food. That being said, everyone is different. Double check with your NUT or Doctor.

I agree, Pasta is explicitly listed as a "no-no" on my puréed list. Are you allowed ricotta at this point by your surgeon? If yes, you could just eat the insides with the sauce (assuming they are cheese ravioli).

What are a list of foods that you ate? I'm just wanting to try different things. And yeah I forgot the raviolis are Pasta but what are other things?.

3 weeks post op. on the 'mushy food stage' now. usually have cream of wheat for Breakfast or scrambled eggs. For lunch some sort of creamed Soup and for dinner I can have canned meats (chicken, tuna, salmon) mixed with lite/fat free mayo. cant stomach the tuna, havent tried salmon but i'm loving the chicken. its soft and goes down nicely. mashed potatoes, fat free refried Beans, mashed sweet potatoes are also on my list.

Your nutritionist knows alot more about what is and isn't ok to eat at any phase. How about asking her :o)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
