My pain and swelling are worse...know Im getting dehydrated. But every time I just take a sip if Water, the pain is excruciating.

Any ideas? I incorrectly thought I'd feel better by Day 3

It's time to call the doctor. You should be finding it easier to drink as time goes by. Ask to go in and let them have a look at you. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Talk to your dr for sure. I read another post about someone getting thrush from the antibiotics and had a very difficult time drinking anything. Please go get it checked out and keep us posted.

They will probabluy have you go back to the hospital and connect you to an IV to get fluids into you.

MD time for sure, and edless is spot on. At this point worrying about dehydration is a good thing to worry about!

I agree with all of the above. It's time to go in before you get worse. Keeping you in my thoughts!

Oh Lipstick, nice new colors, though I'll miss the watermelon of summer...

Thx all...just called doc. The nausea and pain when drinking increased over night. Hopefully they can help me figure it out

Did you hear back? What doc they say?

Sent from my iPhone using VST

Day 5 was my peak for pain and discomfort, but even then I was never in excruciating pain and have never struggled to get water in. I hope you hear something soon

Hasn't called me back yet...waiting...

you are a lot more patient than I am (although who isn't?) I would be calling them until they responded. Glad you got some liquid down though. Warm broth might work better than cold, or vice versa. Temperature makes a difference for some folks.

Yeah...I've had Popsicle fine so this time I drank really cold Water and took about 5 sips with no problem. Going to try G2 really cold as well.

Btw...my eye sight has changed! Before surgery I wore glasses for near sightedness but view up close is shot! Weird.

OMG...me too...eyes, that is! I find that I can't see, as well, up close. Good thing I have a pair of readers on hand. I wonder why our eyesight would change. I'm 1 week post op.
