Tummy Tuck and BL with augmentation question

Recommended Posts

I love to snow ski and was just wondering when you ladies who have had this combo actually felt like skiing again? The first surgeon I consulted with said that I should be good to go in 4-6 weeks. I do bounce back pretty quickly from things. I was back at work after gastric bypass in 9 days ( I don't have to do any heavy lifting). What do you ladies think? I REALLY want to get this done but I also love to ski... Please give me your opinions. THX!

I'm 44, pre-op & have been skiing since age 5... Nothing like the freedom & beauty of it. Because my husband and I love it, we tried going skiing last year, (I was @ 275) & that was not a good experience at all for me. This is one of the things I am most looking forward to doing again. Hoping after about 4 months out & (with any luck, 50+ lbs down) it won't be so tough or painful anymore. And with the cost of lift tickets these days, I don't want to go unless I feel good, and conditions are great... THEN it will be so worth the wait. Shooting for Vermont in February. We also have a trip scheduled for Lake Tahoe in early 2015... I imagine that will be a totally different experience for me... Good luck... When is your surgery? I have had 3 abdominal surgeries and 8 weeks out I think I would have been pretty good to go.

I was told to wait 6-8 weeks post plastics before horseback riding. I am thinking skiing is similar.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
