Only 4 miles today for me...I think that makes my total 62 miles.

7 miles today gives me a total of 60 after 12 days. I did start 2 days early I believe.

Ran in my new running shoes today. These are even more minimal than the vibrams. These are Zem Gear Terra Ninjas. And yes, that is a size 14 shoe rolled up in my hand. These are not for tenderfeet.

Those look not ONLY like flippers (LV...haha!) but ALIEN ones. Sheesh. Are they comfortable? Where do you do a "write up" of them?

On Amazon.com

And yes....quite comfy. And much easier to get on than the vibrams.

Ah, got it.

Glad to hear they are comfy. They still look freaky. Are there two toes put in that first part or is that just for your big toe?

Just did a 45min spin class. Holy crap! Ok now I know how much more work I have to do in terms of getting in shape but also, how far I've come. I tried spin class over a year ago when I was still 300+ and it nearly killed me. This time I could almost keep up with the skinny b$&@h's! I have no idea how many miles that translates to for the challenge, though.

pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4; 12 weeks post-op 274; 4 month post-op 266.2; 5 month post-op 262.6; 6 month post-op 253.2

I usually do spin 2x a week for an hour, and our instructor varies things quite a bit. Sometimes we climb, sometimes we do rollers, sometimes it's all about endurance and other times it's about fat burn. One thing I know is WE NEVER STOP. Ever. It's a heart-pounding hour of sweat.

Even though each session is always the same, 1 hour long, I've noticed the actual miles vary from anywhere at the low end being 14 miles to the high end being 19 miles. It just depends.

And I would *love* a 45 min. class. haha...the hour is brutal. AND this instructor teaches a sat. class that is 1.5 hours...too scared to try it. Been trying to work up to it and I want to try it someday... ;)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
