So 8.5 so far this weekend

9.56 for month, 2 hrs of Zumba, 30 mins of Wii Biggest Loser workout & 20 mins of weight training

Not quite where I wanted to be but 9.56 miles is still a lot more than I use to move! :)

From today's 10K.

Lookin good, BTB!! Are you running in those flat/Merrell-type shoes? The kind that are like five-fingers, but without the separated toes? I can't tell for sure from the photo cos it's so small LOL. If so, how does that work for you? I have a pair since about a year now and I walk (fast LOL) in them to the gym and work out in them, but I haven't tried anything high impact with them.

Those are the Vibram 5 finger shoes. I do 90% of my running in those. I do have the Merrell trail gloves and road gloves. They are both great shoes and excellent for running as long as your form is good.

Ah, I see -- I couldn't see the toes in the picture. LOL. The five-fingers (NONE of them) don't fit me cos I have freakishly long finger toes LOL. But I love the Merrell non-toe ones -- they're called gloves? I want to buy some more when I'm in the US, but I've no clue what they're called cos I bought the pair I have now in Europe.

ETA: Ha! Just looked at the label INSIDE the shoe -- go figure, it's called Lithe Glove Dark Shadow. :)

3 miles of walking on Saturday and 2 miles of running today with strength training Workout. Surprisingly, some body aches that I thought were "normal" went away when I took Friday and Saturday off from serious fitness.

Tomorrow is going to be the start of pure cross fit (3 days on, 1 day off) for next 6 months (will pretty much stop all at home workouts). I am excited! I will continue to put in the running miles as a recreational activity. I will probably reduce to 5 a day outside of running done in crossfit WOD.

Here are the Merrell's that I like and use occasionally. These are the road gloves and I also have the trail gloves.

Walked 2.6 miles today so that brings my total to 30.6. We were planning to go on a bike ride on a section of the trail we've never rode before this morning but I was having some tummy trouble so pushing my body didn't seem prudent. I was feeling better by 4pm so at least we got out and enjoyed the beautiful day!

pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4; 12 weeks post-op 274; 4 month post-op 266.2; 5 month post-op 262.6; 6 month post-op 253.2

Well, today has not been an active one. Since my "nap" extended from 2:30-6:30! Ha! Have only managed a mile or so today. Gonna try to kick out a couple more but with the one that outs my total since Monday at 29.5.

I'm quite proud of that since I have been walking an average of 2 miles 4 times a week! :)

Good work, all! Think of all those calories burned!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
