In and out in an hour. Procedure without any extras (hernia, gall bladder, etc) lasts 30-45 min.

Hi! I had surgery last Wednesday and they removed my gallbladder and repaired a hernia that he found once he got in there and it was less than 2 hours. I remember the anesthesiologist coming in saying he was going to give me some medicine to help me relax & I was out. Slept most of the rest of the day away too.

My surgery took about 2½ hours but I also had my gallbladder out. I have the video of my surgery & the sleeve took just over an hour. My gallbladder was HUGE with 4 big stones & took a very long time just to free it up. I was told they had to cut it into three pieces just to get it out.

Wow mine was an hour. Today is day day two and I don't feel so hot. I am sore, tired and having a very difficult time getting down fluids. I am working on that cause I don't want to end up dehydrated. I had an allergic reaction to the morphine so I wretched and wretched so I don't know if that causes the additional pain. I drink and than about 40 seconds later I get bad cramps

4 and 1/2 hours. Loads of adhesions and my poor hubby was at home panicking because he wasn't with me. I was in Tijuana. He aged about 20 years. And it was my 3 month survive rosary yesterday. 50lbs down so far!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
