has anyone tried the soy protien at wal mart? Out here in the sticks all we have is wal mart unless I drive an hour. I saw the soy protien the other night and it seemed to be loaded with protien and the soy should be good for me.

thanks...cat

Thanks for all of the input guys. I have ordered some of the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury samples, but I haven't tried them yet. I am sure gonna check into the others you guys mentioned. I am trying to find my favorites before surgery so I will be ready. Thanks again for all the help.

I just got my first order from Unjury this is how I used one of the chocolate packs:

1 pack chocolate unjury

1 container light vanilla yogurt

1 container (fill the above container with 1/2% milk)

1 container of chipped ice

2 packs splenda

Pulsed blender with all the above in it. VERY GOOD

I am going to try the vanilla and strawberry in somewhat the same way.

I love the unjury and ordered full containers after trying the samples. I'm going to pick up some Isopure at GNC tomorrow as I think the samples I got from Vitalady had the wrong instructions of mix (they said it was a full serving, but it only mixed with 4 oz of water). The Unjury chicken broth is surprisingly good and I plan on taking that for the plane trip to and from Mexico.

I got some of the Atkins RTD last night and had it for Breakfast and I'm still full 4 hours later :)

Just purchased Muscle Milk Light from GNC. I hesitated to purchase a big container and then hate it! The Vanilla Cream is good! Shook it up with some skim milk and now I'm getting my extra pre-band Protein and it tastes good.

I really liked the sample strawberry from Unjury.

I also just purchased a "sample" pack of 15 different protein mixes from bariatriceating.com.

It also includes a drink shaker. It cost $26.00, I'm sure it will be worth it, then I'll know what I do and don't like. The nectar fruit flavors sound good, any one tried these yet?

I have purchased about 20 samples from bariatriceating.com, some of the Unjury, and some samples from somewhere else because I thought I was going to have my surgery this month, but now I'm not going to get to have it for a year. But, I'm trying to drink 2 Protein Drinks per day and eat one good meal. I've lost 7 lbs in the past week, so it's working very well without the band for now. My cardiologist said I could lose the weight without the surgery in a year if I worked at it. However, we all know how easy that will be, NOT!

I use Now whey Protein Isolate 100% Pure Natural Unfavored

It will dissolve easily in any thing and has no taste I mix mine in my carnation instant Breakfast or chicken broth the carnation instant breakfast are different flavors so it works well. there is 25 grams of Protein per scoop. The isolate protein is the purist and best form but is more expensive. I ordered 5 lbs on line from http://www.nutritiongeeks.com/whey-p...olate-now.html It is 81 scoops and cost about $41.00 with the shipping it is also avalable in 1lb for less. My dietitian told me to take 1 scoop per day but to spread it out though the day. She said it is something you should take for life. The price isn't bad considering it last about 2 1/2 months.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
