October Sleevers - Who else

I got my date (October 15th) and my insurance approval. I'm excited and nervous. Who else is being sleeved in October?

Thank you. How are you feeling? Your a few days post op right?

I'm 3 days postop and I feel really good. Just trying to get my fluids in which is a bit of a challenge. The first maybe 24-36 hours I was having nausea, but I had none yesterday. Every sip I take, I get grumble guts (that's what I'm calling it). Just a lot of noise your body makes when you drink. Today I go back to the doctor to get my drain removed :( and have a leak test. I put a sad face because even though the drain is slightly uncomfortable, that's my safety net that everything's ok in there because I can see the fluid in the drain is a good color. I know- I'm the only crazy one who wants to keep the drain in longer!

Glad to hear you're ok! You will feel rough for a few days, I am on day 5 and feel like I'm just beginning to turn a corner. Hang on in there!

Thanks Natalie .. I woke up was my first concern and once I dislodge this gassy wind it should improve as I cannot sleep on my right .. Hope your progressing ok too :)

I'm a side sleeper too and I found that for the first few days if I rolled a spare duvet up on my right side and kind of rested on that, it was the most comfortable way of sleeping. If you don't have a spare duvet a pillow or two may work the same. Had my first full night's sleep last night and it was wonderful!

Well this time tomorrow I will be in the OR WOW I can't believe I'm only 24hrs away it's been a long but short trip I started my journey in July and 3 months later I'm ready for surgery can't believe it

I'm new to the forum and a late comer but my surgery is scheduled for October 14! 4 Days away and I'm excited and nervous and happy!!

I'm having surgery that same day. We are going to do great.

My surgery is oct 14th and I'm so nervous as well but we will do great!!!!

me too!! I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.

I'm just doing what my NUT told me

shakes throughout the day' date=' unlimited leafy greens (lettuce, kale, broccoli), calorie free dressing, and Water. I'm also drinking Isopure zero carb Protein drinks. I'm sure it will probably slow down as I keep going.

Do you get any cramps from the isopure Protein Drinks? Certain flavors have done that to me. My stomach would cramp so bad that I would have to go to the bathroom. Just curious if it has happened to you! What flavors have you tried and liked?

Wow there are quite a few of us with the October 14th surgery date! Lets go October Sleevers!!!

I am so excited and keyed up, it is hard for me to think about much else! Come on 21st! Are any of you experiencing that?

Best of luck to you October Sleeve Buddies! I was sleeve on Monday 7, 2013! I have been doing good so far! Just the occasional soreness from the area been able to get up and move around without any problems my doctor wants me to continue on clear liquids until I see him next week so that's also include my protein shakes, skim milk, water, broth, apple juice and sugar free Popsicles! Just me and my 8 yr old son at home today he's on fall break from school. We slept in late and I was able to get up and fix him breakfast without any problems. So I am happy to have this outcome. I know everyone will be different.
