Just wanted to give an update. I had my surgery this morning at 8:00. I never thought this would happen to me but I am one of those people who keeps asking if they really did the surgery as I feel amazing! Just wonder if anyone else could share their experiences with feeling great and whether it continued or if reality set it.

Nope, you're not dreaming! I had the same experience, and am still feeling great! Just make sure you drink your Proteins and Water as required and walk as much as they will allow you to.

I'm gad you're having a positive experience; I've read so many horror stories on here. :)

I felt great after my surgery -- could have been the drugs they gave me in the hospital. I was a little sore and had to hold onto my tummy when I laughed or coughed. Only in one night, and was anxious to go home.

No pain at home. I didn't even take the pain meds. No nausea, no vomiting. I will confess that I was really tired for the first 2-3 weeks, but no problems other than that.

I am 3 months post op, down 52 lbs, diabetes and high blood pressure meds down to 1/4 of what I used to take. And I feel fabulous!

Good luck on your journey. It's going to be amazing!

Me too! I worried and worried pre-op! My surgery went super, I even had a larger Hiatal Hernia then they thought. I walked and walked the first night after surgery. No pain pump the next day. No pain meds, nausea, or issues. Feeling blessed. I'm glad your all doing well!

I had a very quick and easy recovery and now 8.5 months post-op I still feel amazing. If not for my now lack of dependence on food and continually shrinking body - I'd never know I even had surgery. Congrats!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
