I'm overly excited and slightly worried... I have 3 children and mostly I am concerned for them (typical Mom right?!?). My husband is supportive but told me to only do it if it is for me and nobody else... The look on his face & the tear in his eyes when he asked my surgeon if I she was sure that I was going to be okay was difficult for me to see... This is about me... I want to be a better wife and Mom that's all that really matter to me... Please just fast forward me to the recovery room!

was sleeved on the 19th of august would do it again tomorrow if i knew before what i know now. sending strength, prayers for you and your husband. you will be so glad after it is over with.

Sleeved yesterday! Not too bad... Gas pain is an issue. Could barely find my incisions they are so tiny. Ate a small part of my liquid lunch and was stuffed! Looking forward to tomorrow!

Slept in recliner last night... Laying flat just didn't work. Tummy is really sore. Trying to get rid of all the fluids they put in through IV at hospital... feeling bloated!

Same thing here I came home weighing 7lbs heavier than what I went in. I've never slept on my back but found that laying on my right side with a pillow under my side and one between my legs helped so much. I haven't had anything really to eat just Water and Popsicles. Not hungry. Also know that walking relieved my gas and helped with soreness. 3 days out now I'm finally showing lbs loss on the scale. What I'm having trouble with is the Vitamins how and when to take them. Plus my antidepressant medz can't stand to open" the capsule and taking it with Water Just like that bleh!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
