I'm like that as well I don't eat much and staying active burns off what you eat. I take Phillips but sometimes I don't go. Becareful on the amount of over the counter laxatives you take because it will work when you at least expect it, then you will really get it,lol.... I only go about 1 or 2 times a week sometimes just 1. Less in means less out.

I was sleeved 8th July and am 52lbs down. Lost a fair amount of this early on but has slowed down a lot. I'm losing around 2lb a week now.

My surgery was on 7/11. I have lost 32 lbs. Recently, I have been having horrible issues with Constipation. I tried a laxative this week and it was like unleashing the gates of hell. What can I do to stay regular without using medication?

Had a solid 2 week stall but I am starting to move down again. My issues with Constipation are ongoing. It has helped to be able to add fruit and veggies to my diet.

I'm now down to 218 (from a weight when I started my pre-surgery diet of 268), so I'm now officially 50 lbs down! There are few things that I can't eat, though there are a number of things I won't eat for one reason or another. While I don't really count calories as such - I count carbs and Protein, pay attention to eating good foods and let the rest fall into place - I do pay attention enough to know that my normal intake is between 800 and 1000 calories most days. I have eaten as much as 1200 calories in a day, and some days I'm struggling to get in 600 calories, but it all balances out. I do find that I probably eat 3/4 or more of my calories before 4 PM most days.

I'm down a couple of sizes, from a snug 24 to a normally fitting 20 right now. I have to keep fighting with myself to understand that I don't need to look at 3x clothes anymore, in fact I fit quite nicely in any XL top that isn't too closely "fitted" - my waist is still too big for anything smaller than a 1X in a tailored shirt.

If I stay on my same pace, I'm losing between 10 and 15 lbs a month, which is fine with me.

How is everyone doing with their Protein and liquids?

I have this problem too. When I went shopping then other day I knew that 26/28 would be too big but I was super shocked that 22/24 looked like a sack! I had to but 18/20 tops. It's a strange feeling to explain.....

I feel like I am loosing slowly but I average about 2.8 pounds a week. I usually gain a pound or two and lose the same pounds during that time of the month...' date=' I dread that week because I never loose weight then...11 weeks out tomorrow 31 lbs down[/quote']

2.8 a week is good still going in a good direction. Besides big weekly loses equal's more loose skin later. You have time to tone.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
