Don't get me wrong I am super excited to be In The ones! But I feel stuck and haven't changed eating habits ! All good habits ! I work out once and a while but is everyone getting stuck??? Does your body finally say I'm comfortable right here! I actually look thinner then 198 and my body holds it different! But now it's a game to finally see what 170 would look like! I started at 313 and surgery was 12/4/12. Down 115! Physically I am so healthy now! No blood pressure and everything else checks out great! Ideas? Thoughts?

115 lbs in 7 months. OMG. I started at 240 and I have only lost 77 lbs. I was stuck at 189 for quite a while. I was stuck at 172 for a while too. Up until then I was still having knee problems. Actually, they do still hurt a little but only after walking a long while and I find if I walk slower or just stop and stand for a few moments it will quit hurting.

One I hit 172 or so I started biking and walking every day. After about 168, I started losing weight faster now. I've lost 5 lbs in about 2 weeks.

There are only about a million variables! :-) Your body will eventually come to a point where it has learned to complete all it's functions on the number of calories that you regularly give it. At that point, to push it to go further you have to change something, usually increase/change your exercise. If I were in your position, I would reevaluate what I'm eating and look for areas to make my diet cleaner and I would increase my workouts, mixing in a significant amount of weight work with my cardio. There are a lot of people here that have done more research and have more experience than me, but this is where I'd start to work toward dialing it in to get to your goal. (This is of course, assuming that you aren't built like an ox (like me) and have little to no business inside your prescribed bmi bracket, or that you have pounds of excess skin causing you to be a higher weight and not necessarily remaining fat.)

Best of luck! Congratulations on all your hard work! I know that you will succeed in reaching your goals!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
