Leave My Food ALONE!

I cannot eat much. My stomach is the size of a Sharpie. I have to prioritize my intake. So, dammit, when I find a yummy AND nutritionally balanced AND sleeve friendly meal.... Leave my food ALONE!!!! Don't eat my leftovers. Let me enjoy it.

Why is it what I'm eating and/or rationing out is the most appetizing thing in a 50 mile radius to my family?!?!

And then I feel selfish and guilty for getting so annoyed. Like I'm being the greedy food ogre who never wanted to share?

Full price Oreos (no sale even) I could of bought 9 packages! Hehe yes I just looked up Oreos?

Did you guys know they make sugar free Oreos now??? Go figure :P

When companies started making sugar free and fat free food items, there was an increase in obesity. Still have calories and little nutritional value.

I really enjoyed reading this because my hubby does the same thing to me and I get upset. He has everything else to eat. 90% of the shopping list is "his" so I don't understand why he has to eat my stuff. Like other posters I feel guilty when I get upset after discovering the latest item he has inhaled.

The hubby and I made teriyaki steak kabobs on the grill the other day and I'm guarding the leftovers for work.

This frustrated me to no end. I realized that it was making me overeat because I knew I probably wouldn't get anymore of something I really liked. My husband is a night owl and well eat everything while I'm asleep. I explained to him nicely once that he was sabotaging my weight loss and he's pretty good. Now I just say "touch my food and I'll kill you! "

I used to eat all of my mom's expensive diet food as snacks when I was in high school and never realized how frustrating that must have been. Now that I'm reading your stories I'm feeling a little guilty, guess I owe her some nutritious snacks lol.

Really I'm not. Just wondering if anybody else's husband/wife does this. First off, let me say that my husband has been so supportive. However, whatever I'm allowed to eat he eats it too. Then when I go to the frig to get something, it is gone. We buy whatever he wants at the grocery and he eats that too. He has quit buying cartons of sodas because he is"cutting back" on cals too. However he will stop at the gas station and pay $1.79 per bottle (3 bottles at a time, which lasts 1 day). He refuses to buy himself sweets but then drinks my Protein drinks and eats my Protein Bars, which are very expensive. I just don't get it.

I posted the above this evening and was referred to this topic. You guys crack me up :). I feel much better now.

On day 4 of my 10 day pre-surgery liquid diet my husband drank/ate my broth from some won-ton soup. I had a melt down and he said, "I"ll never touch your food bowl again". (Comparing me to a dog growling over it's food bowl) He was being funny and it WAS funny to me. I had gone to Sam's and bought a ridiculous amount of food for him, the girl child and all of my family that was going to be here for my surgery and he ate the ONE thing in the whole dang house that I could have!! I think I scared the girl child because she immediately started saying she would go and get more for me.

My husband inhales Quest bars. He doesn't consider them off limits whatsoever. :-)

I have just given in on some of it... A regular order I make is for ostrim sticks (like a slim Jim or beef jerky) my son and husband LOVE them and if my husband is willing to kick down 16 dollars a box? Who am I to complain :D But I still get pissed when someone eats my protein cookies!!! :P

Protein Cookies?? Where do you get those?

Is there a recipe for protein cookies or do you buy them? If you can have protein cookies Laura then so can I!

Oh girls that is a whole other thread!!! lol those Cookies are deadly!

I love them too much and have to make sure I don't eat them everyday they are high calorie but really big.. I think they are 170 calories per cookie! Two per pack..

Look at the evil man on the box! Lol.. he knows he has you hooked :P
