I'm so excited but still seems so far away

because I have to save up and pay I have to wait until December to have surgery. But I'm still so excited my dream is in sight and I can barely contain myself. I try not to talk to much about the surgery because i don't want my fellow coworkers getting sick of listening to me but i feel like I could burst with excitement.

*sigh* I can't do the sugar free syrups as they tend to run right through me and not in a good way. I've been drinking premier for Breakfast a few days a week for a few months, I don't seem to tire of it. I'm sure I will be tired of it by the time I'm a month post-op!

Pre-op: Surgery date 12/16/13 with Dr. Ariel Ortiz.

I will say the premier protein is *filling*. Wow - I had one for breakfast and I didn't feel any hunger until after my class - 5pm

Hello Fellow December Sleevers !! I'm Currently hoping to go in December .. I've been overweight most of my whole life (19 years). I started researching everything about 3 years ago and never went through with it because I thought maybe it would get better. But now I'm taking this very serious and started the process September 10th and met with my surgeon and discussed everything I finished all my pre-op testing October 7th and was submitted to insurance Monday !! I'm very excited and have been on edge wish I could call my insurance everyday .. But none the less I'm very excited and hoping to have this done during my winter break in school !!

Hey everyone! Those of you looking at a December date, if you haven't already come in, join us in the December 2013 thread so we can all follow each other!

I am December 16th as well 7:45am. I should have had it July 16 a couple of things came up, like a Gentics test for protein long story. Then a breast cancer scare which was neg. so all an all it's been a long process. But everything is ok and it will happen in December... A little nervous but this to shall pass..:)

Come join us in the December 2013 group! There are already 28 of us in there and I believe another December 16th person!

What is everybody doing to prepare themselves? I have been soda-free for 3 weeks now. Been trying out some protein powders and shakes. Even bought some baby spoons yesterday - I need too work on the whole smaller bites thing :)
I hear ya. I'm trying to think baby steps too. Except my job is stressful and sometime I woof my food.

So what the story with the protein you ladies have been talking about. ??

have you considered going to Mexico a gastric sleeve is about 5000 and that includes everything except the plane ticket. it is also with some of the best surgeons. I know some people won't consider it but I've done a lot of research and it is just as safe as having surgery in america but half the price. just a thought for you since you are self pay

I had mine done in TN on 10/21. Excellent surgeon and staff at the hospital. Good luck!

Michelle, where in TN did you have your surgery? I'm going with Dr. Houston at Centennial in Nashville

With Charles Morton at The Baptist Weight Loss Surgery Center, which also a 'Center of Excellence' which to me, was important. Nashville, TN

Ah, yes, I was looking at Dr. Shaw there. Heard nothing but good about them!
