I was wondering who you would recommend as a sleeve surgeon in or near Durham NC and why..Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!! I was sleeved on June 26,2013. I went to Duke Raleigh where Dr. Phillip Omotosho performed my surgery. Dr. Yoo is a great surgeon also affiliated with Duke. They also both do surgeries in Duke Regional as well. Google Duke Metabolic Weight Loss for more details abt the seminar and meeting the doctor. I had a very pleasant experience with my doctor.

Thanks Wink. I was thinking about using Dr. Sudan. Have you heard anything about him. I know that he is able to perform pretty much any surgery-even the duodenal switch.

Hi....I had my VSG on wednesday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City...with Dr. Daniel Herron......he is a wonderful surgeon and I am coming along just fine.......went home on friday morning.....I hope that whomever you choose,,,that you also find great success and have good health.....all the best....... I had Dr. Sudan -- great outcome. He uses the Da Vinci robotic system, so there's much less pain and faster healing than traditional laparoscopic surgery. He's quiet and thoughtful; I like that in a healthcare provider. Dr. Sudan published one of the first academic articles on DS, of which VSG is the first part and means that he has gobs of experience with the procedure.
