    I am a stay home mom, so time off was not existent. I made it easier on myself by making and freezing meals for my hubby and daughter. My doctor wrote me a note for 3 weeks! I wish!! LOL

    Dr. Torquati (associated with Duke Hospital) was awesome!! The staff in the office is friendly, helpful and courteous. The process was fast and very informative. I highly recommend Duke Metabolic Center.m

    My surgery was 11 days ago and I am so glad that I did it. The process seems intimidating, but the end results are so worth it!!

    Only you can decide if it is right for you. For me, I have a wonderful extended (in-law) family and they totally support me with my decision. I pray that my sister in laws family (hubby, his sister and niece) will make the decision to do it as well, but it is a personal choice that nobody should make you feel guilty for. Do your research, talk to a few doctors, go to a support group meeting. Only you know what's best for you.

    So that really bad pain in the breast-bone area is from having too much?? I could hardly get in 2 tsp of soup lat night before the pain was unbearable!! Anyone else have this issue???

    My sleeve was 9/4 and I cannot wait to have some cottage cheese and some eggs!! And maybe soon enough.... shrimp and lobster tail!!

    Angie!!, I'm not sure. I had read that other people lost more initially.... I realize the problem isn't the 15 lbs. it's comparing my weight loss to other people's. in retrospect, I am doing as well as I am supposed to do and need to not worry about how much other people loose initially.
