  8. For anyone that reads this thread.... I can now say that after being terrified about all of the things that could happened I went through with the surgery and it was by far the best thing I have EVER done!! You'll go through 1000 different emotions during this journey but it was all worth getting to where I am today : - )
  9. In October I wrote the exact same post.... Surgery was by far the best thing I have EVER done and everyday I think.. Thank god I went through with the surgery. I feel amazing !!!! I won't lie, I did freak out on the day of the surgery and you will go through 1000 different emotions during this journey BUT every second of it was worth getting to where I am today! Good luck : - )
  10. Hi guys, my surgery date was the 17th of October, I'm now down 22kg (50 pounds). This was absolutely the best thing I have ever done. I'm currently 20 pounds (9kgs) away from my goal weight and feel AAAAMAZING !!!! Well done everyone : - )
  11. I too worried about liquids going down too "easy" and not feeling full but I'm happy to say I've just gone to my mushy stage and you'll definitely feel full then, so don't stress
  12. Seela I know it can be frustrating, all we can do is follow the diet provided and leave the rest up to our bodies - I hope it starts falling off soon
  13. I lost 7kg and weighed myself again and put 2 back on I've promised myself now that I will not weigh myself again and will wait until each Drs appointment and just concentrate on following the diet provided. It's probably just fluid... ?

  15. Yea as far as vitamins go I didn't get the chew ones because of the sugar and my NUT has me on elevit from woman ( the pregnancy vitamin ) and I was able to swallow this the morning after surgery, I asked about taking the hair and nail vitamin for hair loss but she said if you take too much it actually does the opposite!!! Apparently as long as you get all your protein in there's nothing more you can do however I will be getting the shampoo and conditioner from AVEDA (available in Perth) for shedding hair - it has great reviews.
  16. you could make it from scratch but my husband got the canned stuff and drained the veggies out. Mine was Baxters chicken broth from Coles or IGA. If you have time I would of made some from scratch.
  17. I'm sure it will start to come of shortly What do you have in a normal day if you don't mind me asking?
  18. Sorry and yes get benefiber or something as you will get constipated unfortunately - I think that's from all the pain meds. Once I was off them I was fine.
  19. Hi guys, I was sleeved 8days ago. I would recommend getting skim milk, protein shakes, chicken broth, low fat yoghurt, get bottles of cold water in the fridge and most importantly some diet cordial!! That's all you'll need for the first 2 weeks good luck !
  20. So... I was sleeved a week ago today. Everything went well and I've had no problem getting all my liquids in.... Which leads me to my concern. I'm having no problem getting liquids in (and fast) I feel hungry, this just feels way too easy - I feel like I could eat a 5 course meal!! I'm worried this isn't going to work for me. Was anyone else feeling the same a week out? I need some encouragement please!
