I am one week and 3 days post op, I am down 15 pounds.

I lost 12# in the first 6 days and than went to a slow slow crawl and now at 4 weeks I am at 18# down, but things have picked back up so I am not too concerned.

  • 1 month later...

I am 16 days post op and lost 25. But have been stalled the last 2 days.

Three weeks is a. time when a lot of people experience a stall.

Heading into day five and nothing so far! I am going to be humiliated to go back to work in a week if I don't lose any weight. .. I feel like the only person in this whole forum that hasn't lost ANY weight the first week. Its especially frustrating since I have not been nauseated and am getting in all liquids and protein. WTF???

I'm sure it will start to come of shortly :) What do you have in a normal day if you don't mind me asking?

I'm still in phase one so protein shakes and water some broth that's it

Surgery date was Oct 1,2013. pre surgery 280 currently 257. Total loss 23lbs. Average wt loss about 4-5 lbs per week. Dr. reports this as average wt. loss.

Might want to back off the broth. I had problems my second week. And I went 10 after the surgery with out pooping. I am in week 4 post op. Mine was done 10-1.

I lost zero pounds.

I gained eleven pounds post op and didn't lose until my third week post op - all my first month's loss came in the last eleven days of the month.

And seriously, do some reading here on the site. There is absolutely no tweaking you need/can really do that's going to help you lose faster. We all lose differently. You're hardly eating at this point, so put the scale away and focus on hydration and protein!

Fyi... I am only drinking maybe 2 oz of broth so I don't think "backing off" is gonna help me much. I appreciate the responses but I don't appreciate feeling attacked for feeling frustrated. Especially since I have had no problem with getting in all fluids and protein
