Don't beat yourself up. Everyone falls off of the wagon at some point. The most important thing is to get back on track an stay motivated!

Be careful with bread/doughy products - even at 6 weeks out, they're tough to "swallow!"

I feel your pain, I received a small gorgeous flour-free chocolate cake for my birthday last night at this place a friend and I went to and I was suppose to give it to my friend. I just realized that now that I home and unpacked that she didn't take it with her. It was calling me, I smelt it and then I ate it. So far 3/4 of it is gone :( , I couldn't eat it all at once but I did keep going back. So far no physical problems just mental.

Did I just screw everything up and is this a beginning of a downward spiral? I know I am just beating myself up right now and venting my concerns. Tomorrow is a new day and I will get back on track and be stricter with myself than I was today.

If you have negative comments don't bother replying, because I know. Just need chin up kinds of things.

It is really ok!!! Don't panic. You just have to "restart" yourself tomorrow. Reevaluate and go on. Beating yourself up won't help your feelings and won't reverse the action. Just learn a lesson and move on....

I've known people, who whilst on diets and have been rendered almost defenseless against something bad for them, have picked up said item, immediately squirted washing up liquid all over it and placed it in the bin. On enquiry, they admitted that if they hadn't have done that, they would have 'placed' it in the bin, in its wrapper and then gone back to it later. Least you didn't do that!

No worries!! The thing to do is get up tomorrow like any other day and begin anew!

On this journey we are going to make mistakes and drop our resolve. The key is to continue on your healthy pattern and don't look back!! Just move forward.....You got this!! :)

@Madam Reverie I have done the bin thing before pre-op, not a proud moment. My mom actually puts salt all over the dish when she was done. What I should have done is gone to the outside bin and trashed it, but didn't.

I am kicking myself for the momentary guilty pleasure, but tomorrow is another story. Long walk is in order and measured meals. I just hope this doesn't set me back any. That would suck!!

Thank you all for the encouragement that is exactly why I vented here.

Also remember, a part of what so many of us have to relearn is to take a bit and walk away. I watch my young daughter when she eats, she eats what she wants and then decides when she is full. I am always amazed that she did not have the desire to clean her plate. So I remind myself of the same things, I don't have to clean my plate, I don't have to go back, the one bite was enough,.

I let some chocolate melt in my mouth. More than I should have. I feel guilty too; however I'm back on track, still losing and I leaned my lesson. I was sick as a dog and had dumping. I need to learn how to deal with my emotions better than eating them because I physically can't do it anymore.

Glad I'm not the only one. This is a great support group.

I have trouble with muffins/ and cup cakes trouble swallowing 5 months out. So it goes on that list of things I don't bother with.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
