Yeah, that's me. My incisions have healed pretty good so far, but all around is super itchy.

I'm one week out of surgery and I'm having pain by my rib on my left side has anyone felt that?

Finished up with my pre op at the hospital, surgery is Monday the 30th. It's been a long 6 months and now that I have reached the end of the waiting I'm so scared.

I was terrified from the time I got my surgery date and by the day of surgery they pretty much had to give me something as soon as I got my IV in. Just the idea of surgery is scary. Just focus on all the good things that will happen afterwards.

I was nervous at first. Had even changed my mind. But then I figured how much better off I'd be if I did it. I can't wait for this part to be over so that I can heal completely and get back to normal. My incisions itch but like I said that just means their healing. I still get tired and need to rest but that's a part of the healing process. I haven't been in any pain. Just felt uncomfortable at times. For you newbies this will all pass in no time. For you pre-op people everything is going to be alright. If I can do it you can do it too. Just hang in there. :)

My belly itches like crazy.... looks like little red bumps all over it.

For the itchiness try Neosporin with itch relief. Check with your doc first, some doc's don't want their patients putting anything on the incisions.

Thanks

Tomorrow is my day! I know I'm doing the right thing. Surrendering and trusting the medical team is the hardest part for me. Probably need to be more vulnerable in life anyway. :-). Best wishes to all !

I lost 15 pounds after my first week too! Isn't that awesome! It's so nice to finally see the scale going down! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> Also' date=' I'm about a week and half out...does anyone else have an itchy belly? My incisions are healing well but my belly is itching me to death! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote']

Good luck!! Keep us updated :)

Thank you!

An ice pack can help with the itching too.

At 3 1/2 weeks post op, I'm itchy everywhere. This dry skin is maddening. Eczema lotion is a lifesaver right now.
