If you use the search feature at the top of the screen, type in remorse, and select forums, then the magnifying glass, some threads should come up.

Here's one that I remember because there was a member who has remorse.....it's important to see the good, the bad, and the ugly (IMVHO)

Thanks Patty! I did just read them all, I feel very bad for the one lady that totally regrets it..I have been fat my whole life, Im done! Im 42 and really haven't started living, Id give my left arm to be able to bend over to paint my toe nails or better yet, not break out in a sweat while walking. Im just finished with this nonsense and allowing food to control my life. I wish I would have found out about this ten years ago! Tuesday is the big day for me, I am scared but excited as well! Im ready to start the next journey :)

I felt the same way - I was terrified! But now I am 9 weeks post op and love it:) No regrets. It was very hard for me for the first 4 weeks or so, but that was attributed to healing, getting tired of the liquids/purees and I had gallbladder surgery at 3 weeks post op. I got through it and now I'm on the other side. I started my pre-op on 5/15 at 244 lbs., surgery was 5/22 and I am now at 196! 48 pounds gone and I feel so much better!

I'm at 2 months out, and very happy with my decision. It was rough at first, but it gets better.

That, too, is totally normal. I cried when he lady came to do my IV, I cried in pre op, and I cried on the operating table just because I was scared to death. Everyone was so nice and understanding and encouraging. They understood how I felt.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
