Ok, why does mother nature want to MESS with me?? I got up today ready to ride. Looked out the door... POURING DOWN RAIN! It hasnt rained all week and I get up early to go riding and there is Water everywhere! UGH!

So, I couldnt ride this morning or ride to work. gggrrrr -- otherwise, I'd have looked like a drenched rat.

VAband - hey honey! I cant wait to see how far I go tomorrow either! I am even going to bed early tonight to sleep up for it!

The men situation -- well, I am still talking to the "promising" guy from Indianapolis, but we are so far away from each other. He did ask me if i would like to stay at his place the night we go to the concert. BUT he made sure to clarify that he was NOT trying to ask in an inappropriate/assuming/booty call kind of way. He said he would have the couch fix up for me, but he thought after all the loud music all day that it would be nice to come back and just be able to sit and talk and hang out... something we've never got to do much of... I feel he is mature enough than I belive him about 80% of the way on THAT. ha.

He certainly didnt ask in a sleazy way, and I've got news for him. I am not a "part time" piece of ass. Soooo, I hope he hasn't been "acting interested" all of this time just for the chance to sleep with me.

Seems like alot of trouble to go through... just for a booty call. BUT he is man. and they do that kind of crap. So, I will let you guys know after August 6 and 7th! I hope he is a good guy. BUT experience has taught me NOT to hold my breath on THAT one.

Claud -- oh my goodness! girl are you ok (the wreck)!!?!? I am so sorry to hear about the bad luck! THAT is all you needed. I would have been worried about my band too.

Your bro sounds awesome! (or at least sounds like he is on my same wave length) I was a Miami Ink junkie myself. I absolutely love tatoos. I dont haev any yet, but only because I think they mean so much that I haven't found the right tatoo just yet. I think I will be getting one once I lose all of this weight. I think it would be appriprate to have succeeded and THEN to mark the occassion that I start a NEW LIFE.

That stinks that you werent able to help him tell his story. It would have been nice to have the family talking about how much this means to him! Definitely let us know when it is set to air! I would love to see it!

NAT - Happy Birthday to you... here is me doing the birthday dance :) HAHAHA!

Dont stress the food girl!! Enjoy your Birthday! We only get one per year. Next year you are gonna be one skinny Bday girl!! They are gonna be trying to force feed you MORE cake!! haha! LOVE YA

OMG.... cant breath!! BUT feels soooooo good. I just went out on my bike.

13.2 miles in 1.1 hours!!

That was awesome!! Totally doable.

It is about 90 degree out. HIGH humidity. And we are having winds of 10-15 miles per hour... so half the time I was riding, I was fighting the wind resistance. NOT perfect conditions by any means... and I still had no trouble pumpin out over 13 miles!!!

I dont think 13 mph is too shabby... not a scenic tour!! I was moving pretty fast for me! Especially to keep it up for 60mintues!!

Im PROUD of myself! :cheer2:

BUT excuse me why I go die!!! hahahahaha

Actually, I feel freakin great!!

Hi Darling Friends!

I just popped in to say....

227!!!!!!

I am 3 pounds from my birthday goal weight! My p'rot is on its way (God willing!) and I have been eating like a birthday girl! And I'm STILL 227 today. I rock. I! ROCK!

I'm refocusing myself, planning to exercise every day, and eat well to clean my system. I'm definitely going to hit my under 200 goal by 12/14. And maybe even by T'gvg - right Annie?!?!

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Brandy you look effing great! I am amazed at your transformation! You went from looking like Carnie Wilson (red top pic) to a bitchin' buxom beauty! I'm so proud of you!

Brandi work out that bike, chile! You are so motivated again. Don't be so hard on yourself, ya hear? Take it one day at a time and be as supportive to yourself as you are to others.

Claudi - be safe. Sorry you won't be on TV, but cool that your brother can be a part of the program!

VaB - how's it going, gal? Are you getting back into the swing of real life? I know it can be hard, especially after being on such a fabulous vacation!

Steph - hope you're having fun on vaca!

KayDoll - I MISS YOU! I think I have your email address, and am going to drop you a line. I know you're busy with family, school and work. I am sure you're kicking butt with your band, too. *HUGS*

BTW, I went out on Friday night and met a man. He's 6'4" and broad with a narrow waist and muscular thighs. (Just like I like 'em) 2 grown kids, employed, and called me yesterday. We have a date to go to my company picnic on August 4 together. When I went out I felt gross, fat, old, dressed like a geek, never thought I'd fit in. In spite of it all, I got asked to dance (by my friend's friend) and picked up by this cutie pie (whose name I have forgotten... HA! I was tipsy!). I left feeling quite hot and sexy. hehehe

Okay, getting up now. Walking DS to the park, and then going to go bike riding this afternoon with my friend Sue.

Love you guys!

Nathalie

NAT - Now, acutally I HAVENT check the tape measure yet. I will take a look tonight when I get home from work! GOOD CALL NAT!

----------------------

I wanted to share this... i got it in an email from the Susan Maria website (i am on their mailing list). It has some GOOD, NEW ideas for jump starting metabolism!

Susan Maria's 'Good Morning' Metabolic Makeover

iStock_000002070728Small.jpg

Eat a 200-300 calorie breakfast

In the a.m., your energy stores are depleted by as much as 80% from the night before. Without food, your body shifts into starvation mode, which means it begins to conserve energy and burn fewer calories. In other words: your metabolic rate takes a nosedive! That may be why, in one study Breakfast skippers were 4 1/2 times more likely to be obese than breakfast eaters. For more long lasting energy, include Protein, dairy products, and whole grain complex carbohydrates like oatmeal.

Throw in half a cup of strawberries

Research suggests that getting enough Vitamin C - 75 mg a day - may be essential for optimal fat burning. The fresh berries provide 45 mg.

Get a dose of sunlight, take a morning walk!

Exposure to bright light decreases melatonin and increases serotonin, shifting your body from sleep to awake mode and in turn, revving your metabolic furnace.

Take your multivitamin

Antioxidant nutrients help protect mitochondria, tiny structures found in every cell, from damage: they're the microscopic fat-burning furnaces that convert food into fuel.

Move at the office

Moving throughout the day - even if it's just walking to a co-workers office rather than sending an email - keeps your metabolism higher than remaining sedentary.

Have a midmorning protein boost

Good choices: a reduced fat mozzarella stick, a Protein Drink, or a half cup of Splenda-sweetened yogurt. Every time you eat, your body burns additional calories to digest the food. Take advantage of this automatic increase in energy by eating a small protein meal as a supplement every 3 to 4 hours and do not skip meals.

BMAN...YES, I want you to KICK HIS ASS!! :) He doesn't know what he's giving up and this was his last chance w/me! I'm sure your tape measure has moved...and Thanks for that little article! That was perfect! I definitely need to jump start my metabolism! My scale dropped a few pounds while on vacation, but seems to be stuck AGAIN! GRRRR....

BOO...why are you mad that your scale dived?? I'd be thrilled! (as long as it was diving down and not up!) ;)

Did I tell you all that I put on a pair of Size 18 shorts yesterday and wore them to a b.day party for a friends son!?? a SIZE 18 Ladies!!! I'm In the TEENS!!! WOOO HOOOO!! Just had to share w/those that would understand :)

Vaband -- I will gas up the car and be on my way!! haha... stupid men. they are all a bunch of selfish/oblivious fools.... at least all the ones I meet.

OMG :) congrats on the 18's girlie girl!!! doesnt it feel awesome??? I'm so proud of you! Go strut your sexy stuff and try not to think about the man troubles. I know that is probably not going ot happen :-) but it sucks how much we worry about them when they are just not worth it half the time!

Booboo - girl, be HAPPY that scale is moving. mine has been stuck for 2 months, i'd give anything for it to drop somewhere. At this point the only place my scale is going to be dropping is OUT OF MY WINDOW! I'm gonna drop kick that bitch. I hate scales!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
