Hey family, I had my sleeve done on Friday the 28th. I just left the hospital and will be on my own tonight I can't sleep, and my mouth will not stop having to SPIT. I have filled up a cup already and it's seems thats the reason I can't sleep.... Somebody help me please...

Just some thoughts/ideas: Don't drink anything 30 minutes before bed time. Also, try to prop yourself up and sleep on your back and see if that doesn't help keep things down.

If it continues all night, I'd call my doctor in the morning.

That happened to me also, I found taking smaller sips while standing really helped me. When you get nauseous, you are taking a mouthful rather than a small sip and should wait more than 5 minutes between sips, I hope this helps.

I used to have this happen to me...especially after I ate to much. I thought there was something seriously wrong with my saliva glands! This to shall pass. In the mean time...keep a cup handy to spit it all out...cause swallowing it will make you queazy. Try to sleep on your side with a towel underneath your mouth so your pillow doesn't get drenched. Make sure not to overfill your stomach with Water, or anything else. It will get better....it is all part of the process. :)

I had that too but it was caused by my pain meds. It stopped at Day 4, and now only happens when I over-do it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
