Holy COW I'm 179!! That means 24lbs since preop 6/5/13. I'm so glad!

I am having no complications. I pray that continues and everything continues to go as smooth as possible.

TIP to those being sleeved!!!!

If you feel ANY nausea or weird tell them you are nauseous and they will hook you up. I never threw up.

Day 7:

Not much of a difference from day 6. Getting my fluids and feeling pretty good. I did take some pain meds today. I took my 3 yr old to the park and it wore me out. When we got back I made some hot diluted cream of chicken and propped my feet up. The meds help me relax.

I was also sleeved on the 19th, and my surgeon has me on 2 weeks of Clear Liquids & skim milk before I can move to 2 more weeks on full liquids. I'm generally feeling a little better each day, but I wish I could add Protein Powder to the milk. I'm using Unjury chicken Soup, which has been great. It's definitely a challenge to get the fluids in, even though I can drink a little faster than they recommend.

Today is day 8:

I feel fine. Hardly feel the left incision. I'm just tired. I could sleep all day!

I'm having zero problems getting 60g of Protein but struggling to get all 60oz.

I love experimenting with different diluted Soups. Doctor said that if it can go trough a strainer, I can have it. So tonight I will try diluted with Water cheddar Soup.

I finally went #2. I used some Miralax last night.

I am taking twice a day a medications for acid/ulcers.

I started my 2 Vitamins a day.

I've been on B12 for a while.

I am having some pressure in the middle of my back. I think it's just gas.

You can't have any Protein for 2 weeks? That's a long time. They told me that the protein is the most important thing and helps you heal. I didn't start feeling better until day 4 when I finally got some protein in.

I use milk to thin mine out. That way I'm also getting Protein with it. It is one of the Soups I have been living off of since I have been able to eat the cream soups.

I bought vanilla soy milk and have been mixing that with my strawberry Protein and I love that! I need to make a run to the store for some regular milk!!

Have you heard of or used powder Peanut Butter? I believe it's called P2B. It's pretty good and adds a little extra flavor

Never heard of that. I'll check it out!!

What does your normal day look like so far? What do you drink?

My normal day is pretty boring. I'm not allowed to go back to work for 4 to 6 weeks. I'm on a liquid diet till July 18th which consists of broth, thinned out cream Soup, 1% milk, Protein drinks, Water and sugar free Popsicles and that's all my doctor will allow. I go on short walks and then I'm pretty wiped for the day.

I drink about 60 grams of Protein. One in the morning and one at night. I use the SMART Protein Powder drinks and mix it with milk. They are by far the best I have ever had. Many other brands I could not stand or they would make my stomach hurt really bad. I easily get my Water in. I drink it through out the day, I get about 64 to 70 oz in a day.

I eat mainly cheese Soup thinned out with milk and spaghettio's sauce with unflavored protein powder in it. I drain the sauce from the noodles.

I'm so far from being a Water drinker. I'm trying to learn to like it.

Ya my doctor told me to drink room temp Water because it will be easier on your stomach and less likely to send your stomach into a spasm

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
