I think the person who started this thread for us changed to a March band date. So that could be the reason for you not being put on the list. I wasn't put on there either...so I did it myself. I put rdbiles and November Lily on the list. I will take over the list if no one else wants to do it. Anyone else out there a February club member and not on the list???

I am not on the list...I was banded 2/19. Thanks!

oh! btw..im going for my second fill here in about an hour.

im hoping for more restriction. I have NO idea how much i weigh. I havent weighed in a week. I think im ovulating again. Im averaging twice a month now. I "feel" swollen. ill update when i get back this afternoon. i already have 1.5 cc in a ten cc band.

we will see how it goes.

oh and also..supplements:

(im a firm believer, have been since way before band) but now i take daily:

Flinstones chewable Multivitamin

Calcium chew

Iron supplement (has made HUGE difference)

flax seed oil (two tablespoons into protien shake every morning before bikeride)

B12 drops

collegen capsule

lizrbit~ thanks for sharing this info. Would you mind sharing what kind of iron supplement you take? Where do you find it? I need one that doesn't taste like gun powder!

Thanks!

I got my third fill last week and I definately have restriction now...have actually considered getting a little taken out. I can barely do liquids in the morning. Have to wait until mid afternoon before I can get much solids down at all. I have been eating around 1000 cals a day and have been very satisfied on that. Have had a great boost in weight loss due to this fill...that part is nice!!! Probably will keep it as is for now and see how I am when I go in for my next appointment in 3 weeks. I go on vacation in 5 weeks and can't imagine not being able to eat a little good stuff while gone. Might be good though. Go on vacation and still lose weight. Never done that before. Well, just updating everyone and hope everyone continues their success.

I can't tell you how happy that makes me just to hear! I am due for my 3rd fill tomorrow at my 3month post-op appt. I have a 4cc band and am now at 3cc's. I feel like my loss has been a bit slow and I am searching for that sweet spot! Congrats! Enjoy your vacation!

Hey guys.

Mlevel, i just got my Iron supplements from Walmart. Stuff i cant stand the taste of goes right into the protien shake to be pulverized and drank down. The taste of the fresh blueberries or strawberries hides much. the yogurt hides much too.

The recipie for the protien shake varies according to what i can tolerate that day but a typical one goes like this:

1 deal of probiotic yogurt

1 scoop whey Protein

1/2 can of slim fast high protien or eas Protein Shake

a quarter of a cup of fresh frozen fruit, i keep bags of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries in freezer for variety.

one packet of metamucile (i bet i spelled that wrong)..orange flavored

two tablespoons flax seed oil (fantastic for your hair and nails)

and then add two tablets sweet acidolpholis

add my Calcium

add iron if i cant take it that day (just drop it in)

and add the collegen tablet.

mix that stuff till its like cake batter and there ya go.

its a way to get in Breakfast on days when i dont wanna do breakfast and because its so high in protien and calcium, the rest of my day im not grazing or worried i didnt get enough food in.

Lizrbit,

You should take your Iron and Calcium at two different times each day. When they are taken together they negate each other and you won't be getting anything out of them.

Anyone have Constipation issues?

Just started last week...:omg: Other than during my 2 pregnancies, I've never had this issue before! :) I thought it might have to do with not getting enough Water, but now I'm thinking that it's a lack of Fiber because I'm avoiding all grains with this whole low-carb sh..tuff!

Gerber makes a sweet baby food (in glass jars or plastic tubs) that is a mix of prunes & applesauce. I've taken to stealing some from my DD's stash! :kiss But things have gotten to the point where I might invest in some of that clear Benefiber & mix it in with my daily Protein Shake. :phanvan Sounds delicious... :Banane41:

June... June? How can that be right? My gosh, it is almost JUNE!!

BabyGrl, I'm in & up for anything. What were you thinking, Ms. 5K-in-July? I need to get my butt in gear!!!!! Fill #3 is tomorrow & I'm hoping with some real restriction that I'll feel more motivated! But I appreciate the accountability of a challenge! Just think of how bad off I'd be without them... :) No, on 2nd thought, don't think about it at all.

Suzanne

I like the drinking 64 oz's + of water daily and exercise for 60 minutes for twenty-days. Maybe 30 minutes of walking and 30 minutes of cardio? ;)

I know I would totally go for the 60 but I have become pretty hardcore addicted to exercising. How about if we do a challenge with different levels. Like this:

Level 1- 30 minutes per day for 20 days

Level 2- 45 minutes per day for 20 days

Level 3- 60 minutes per day for 20 days

and the Level 4 hardcore bad ass 60 minutes per day for 30 days

Yeah I am pretty pissed that I missed 2 workout days this month grrr lol. I wanna be a hardcore bad ass in June!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
