I am 6 days post-op and I feel fantastic! I honestly do not feel like I've just had surgery. I have not thrown up once and I haven't needed any pain meds for 3 days.

With that said, I am having dull pain in my left shoulder. I've had this for a few days now. It's not terribly painful or anything - it's just THERE every so often.

I just spent some time reading the complication forum here, and some people said that the first sign that they had a leak was shoulder pain.

And so I'm freaking out a little...

I had severe shoulder pain for the first couple of days. They put gas in your abdomen during surgery, and it has to dissipate. It should be going away soon. If it seems like more than that, call your doctor and ask them if it is anything to worry about

This may sound awful silly, but the should pain is most likely gas pains. I experienced it with both my Gallbladder removal and with the sleeve. I sure hope this helps.

I had this for a couple days when I was about 7-9 days out. It came off and on but it seems to have gone away. I put a heating pad on it to relieve some of the pressure/pain.

I was thinking that it was gas until I read about it being a symptom of a leak... Thanks for the replies! I pray that gas pains is all it is!
