Anybody ever actually watch a lipectomy (central body lift)?

Recommended Posts

Just watched one on YouTube a little bit ago (well, 12 minutes of highlights anyway...) and I'm slightly horrified. And by slightly, I mean really. It was all good until they actually ripped the skin off of the patient (watching the Lipo part wasn't all that pleasant either, less gory though). So here's my question: I assume some of you have had this particular procedure, so how painful was recovery, really? It seems like people are up and about within a few days of most of the other contouring procedures. Is this about the same. I guess I just visualized this stuff as like a pinch, cut, and stitch kind of a deal, by my goodness, was I wrong...

I'm generally pretty ok with blood and gore, but watching them pull off the excess skin had me in a full body cringe. I'm really hoping it looks much worse than it feels, because I'm going to need this or something similar someday...

Good night all,

dd

I quit watching, they gross me out! I know I'll be getting a Tummy Tuck, the less I see the better I'll be is my theory:)

Some things are better left not seen. I've had several joint replacements and didn't watch a video until AFTER the surgeries as I didn't want to get too freaked out. I've woken up in the middle of some of my surgeries to the sound of a saw/drill. Even though awake, you are so drugged up that the sound doesn't bother you but it sure would normally to think that is your bone being sawed off! Yikes!!

Yeah, I was kind of regretting watching it a little, but I'm the dork that has to see everything before I do it. Usually, it's not a big deal, I'm pretty calm about things and don't usually get grossed out about too many things, but this was a bit much... yikes I'll just be adamant that they give me good drugs when I get to that point!!!

I've seen a lot of surgeries, I do NOT recommend people observe a surgery they are about to have if they are even waffling a little bit, its nothing but gore-porn usually (plastics are brutal).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
