Would soggy cherrios hurt?

Recommended Posts

Have you called your surgeons office? If its hurting maybe it should be checked out I haven't had the sleeve done yet. But this soon out I didn't think that much physical hunger was generally experienced? May be worth a phone call

I just got off liquids yesterday. I had it for two days. At first it was hard but then it got easier. I chewed ice non stop, because I just needed to chew something. I was allowed Decaf coffee/tea. broth, Protein Shakes, sf Jello, and sf Popsicles. I say change up your flavors and chew ice or jello it'll get better!!

I know it's not recommended but I would have just a few of the Cheerios. I went through this as well. Had a tiny bite of what I wanted and after I did, I was fine! Didn't want more, it relieved my need for wanting to feel like chewing something. Good luck!

It's the Premier Protien shake from costco. It has 30 grams per 11oz.

At this point I think part of it is that your stomach is numb from having the nerves cut and you are not feeling any fullness yet... I drink premier shakes too and trust me I'm full after!

Can you have broth?? I wound think If you can already drink shakes broth would be on your list??

If so either make homemade because canned sucks! Or go to a take out place and order a broth based Soup (not creamy yet) and ask for mostly broth then go home and stain it.

Much more satisfying than canned or bouillon.

I have an Ice shaver that I would freeze different things into small, 8 oz. "hockey pucks" and drop them in. Shave away...instant chew texture but melting into a liquid. It worked fabulously for those 'I want to chew' moments. I had 2 wks. Liquids....best of luck!

No I actually meant ur very rude responses and supreme ego... There's a psychological explanation for ur personality.

As for the actual poster, should u choose to do as is recommended, great! If not, a few Cheerios, believe it or not will not kill u. As my surgeon said to me during my first week, if ur being careful and adding little tiny pieces to any liquid, u will be okay. :)

Thanks for the compliment! :D

So as per your doctors orders as long as she eats them carefully (by adding tiny pieces to liquid) she should be fine??

I'm glad that your doctor specifically cleared you and the OP here for Cheerios. It makes me feel so much better...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
