Chewable vitamins make me sick

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved May 14th and I've done really well but like others struggling with Protein. But also every time I take a Bariatric Advantage chewable Vitamin I get sick! I even take phenergren with it and I still throw it up. Does anyone else have this problem?? I go back for my 1st postop appt tomorrow. I will ask but didn't know if anyone else was given a substitute to try instead of the Vitamins?

I take a Equate (Walmart braand) chewable complete Multivitamin and it goes down fine. No problems.

Check with your doctor if there is something else you can take. I had the same problem with my lap band, and he lets me take the flinstone chewable vitamins.

Centrum chewables was on my list of approved Vitamins to take. 2 of them daily. The orange flavor doesn't bother me one bit! Cheap, available @ Walmart and they work! Give em a try

I also got sick with every chewable Vitamin I tried (Bariatric Advantage, Celebrate, Trader Joe's brand, etc.). I took my prilosec before and it still didn't help.

I finally found a way that I can take them. I put them in my "cheek" to dissolve slowly like a sweet tart. It takes an hour or so to completely dissolve, but I get my Vitamins (slowly) so it doesn't upset my stomach. I like the Celebrate pineapply/strawberry flavor and Bariatric Advantage Orange flavor. Just find one that tastes good to you so you don't mind sucking on it for awhile. Good luck and hope this helps! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
