See how you feel.. I think my doc said wait a full week. If you are on pain meds still then they suggest waiting a full 24 hours after the last dose you take. I didn't drive for about 10 days after, but could have after probably 5ish.

Hi ShrinkingBiker, it is Veruca. You can start driver as long as you are not on pain killer anymore.

I was told no driving for 2 weeks. I would say no matter how you feel you should not. You will definitely still have open, healing wounds and GOD forbid something happens while u driving u can get really hurt. That's just my two cents, better safe than sorry!!

My doc said 1 week. Not because I would be unable to drive, but because if there was an accident and your steering wheel and air bag hit your stomach it could cause serious damage to your surgery.

I was sleeved on 5/1 and driving by 5/3, so yes it's possible.

I was sleeved May 7 and driving by May 11th. That was when I no longer needed pain meds all the time. If you have to take pain meds you shouldn't drive.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
