WOOHOO!!! I'm so excited!!! I wasn't expecting my initial consultation until at least April (or May or June!) but I just got a call and there is a cancellation!!!

I go to meet the Assessment Team on January 23rd!!! :banana

After meeting me, they'll determine if it's best for me to go on their Weight Wise management program to lose weight with their dietitians (NNOOOO!!!!!!) or go through the Lap Band process (YYEEESSS!!!!!).

If anyone is a praying person here, could you say a little prayer that I get accepted for the Lap Band procedure? I've tried so many diets on my own and just can't do it! I've waited long enough for this! I would sure appreciate it! Thank you!!!! :biggrin1:

Great news Pam! I'm a new wannabe bandster. I have an appt with my doc on Jan. 3/07 to start the referral process. I also heard it was about a 1 1/2 to 2 yr process for Dr. Birch/Dr. Davey. Long wait!!!

I,m so happy for you pam and I will say a prayuer for you. You be praying I find insurance to cover me.And I can get mine done by mid 2007.

Congrats, you will be so glad you did this for yourself. I went shopping today and it was so fun. I can imagine how much fun it will be 100 pounds from now! I am very excited for all of us.
