Hey Guys... So sorry to report that Alex told me you can only edit a post for 1 month...then it's Locked... So sorry...it's sucks. I might start a new post, and copy the original list over and add on to it. I'm thinkin' about it.

Well guys in in the home stretch the 18th is so close....still doing well on preop. Yesterday my entery level was down, so I slept in late today and feeling just Fine again.

Praise God! Glad that part is ovr n ur doing gr8 on the drugs' date=' lol. Keep us in the knowwwww.. bye DEAR:)[/quote']

Thanks today I was released from the recovery center and sent home. Ive been on a pure liquid diet of wster and gs2 interchangeably and I've been ok. The nausea is still bad so I started some natural medicine and now it goes completely away! (Mary jane!) I also have been drinking my butt off. The gas pains are real tho!!! Massaging helps a lot. Def have a good friend to rub u down.

I had my surgery June 10th. So, I guess I'm 5 days post op. I have not had as easy a go at it as it seems others have had. Got to hospital that morning terrified, cried when my husband said goodbye and they wheeled me back. Waking up in recovery, I remember crying out in pain, then I blacked out again. The biggest incision is the only one that hurts and it HURTS. Surgery was around 7am. My 1st walk was around 4 or 5, I don't even think I woke up till noon. I had a morphine pump I could push a button when needed. I pushed the button about 4 times total while in hospital. I literally could not wake up. I kept passing out, couldn't shake the anesthesia. Monday night my blood pressure was high and I kept a temp of 99.5. I also had a few times where i remember dry heaving. I would have waves of nausea, but none since being released. Doc came in Tuesday morning, saw I had a small blister on one of my small incisions, still red but a teensy bit better. Since being released, the big incision is still painful and I still need some help picking something off the floor or getting up from laying position. I've also developed rashes and itch like crazy!! Going to see my surgeon this afternoon. My last antibiotic before leaving hospital was levaquin. Some people think that may have caused rashes and itching or it could be from morphine or blood thinners. Who knows, but it's driving me crazy. I'm only getting about 30-40 oz of liquid in. Gas SUCKED for several days, gas x strips do help. Today is better from gas though. I haven't felt hunger and have to force myself to drink. Hospital stay, I probably didn't need to pack anything other than a robe. I am ready to fast forward a couple weeks. I had severe buyers remorse, still do a little but I know it's got to get better and this too shall pass.

Hope u feel better soon

I had mine on 6/6..... So far so good. I'm dying for a scrambled egg! Dr says to stay on clear liquids for another week then full liquids for 2 weeks so its going to be a while....

I so understand where you are coming from. I was sleeved on the 7th. I also had a hiatal hernia and 2 umbilical hernias. I left the hospital a little dehydrated and with a sprained neck. My worse pain came from the umbilical hernias. I sprained my neck getting either into or outta bed using my arms to either push my around or pull me up in bed. I have slept in my recliner since I got home. And it was my general practitioner that told me my neck was sprained.

I have sooooo had buyer's remorse but it is getting better. On the 6th day I was finally able to get in all my fluids and about half of the Protein. I still have neck pain, but that is going away. I'm finally able to start seeing the end of the pain. I have to say I really love not being hungry ALL the time.

Good luck folks. It's hard and painful but it does get better. You'll wake up one day not needing pain meds and then you'll be able to conquer the world!

My favorite clear liquid is the seasoning packet from a package of Ramen noodles in 2 cups of hot water. I add a scoop of non-flavered protein and I'm ready to go! I also love this because when everyone else is eating I feel as though I'm getting real food also.
