I lost 50 lbs pre-op -- I try to keep my carbs under 40 grams per day, and usually eat between 800-1000 calories a day most of which are from Protein. That's it!

I try to do 30 minutes of Jillian Michaels workout during the week...

Wow congrats!! So I guess it will be worth it I'm having mine on June 21 :) did you exercise while doing the pre-op diet?

Not really...I started in July after my first NUT appointment and I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast, 4oz of lean Protein and veggies for lunch and dinner. Then 3 weeks before surgery I switched to a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and 4oz of lean protein & veggies for dinner. I had lost exactly 50lbs by the time I went for my final pre-op appointment with my surgeon.

Super I am not going to try to break the 200lb barrier. I am 6' 5" and my goal weight would be about 215lb. However I broke the 280 mark for the first time in 13 years also yesterday. My Surgery was May 21st and I was 318lbs

It is a great feeling to see that the hard work of the restrictive diet get results. It gives you inspiration to stay the course.

Nice going

2nd day of liquids this is really hard especially with people at work eating around me :( I really hope this pays off in the end for me

Just listen to everything your surgeon and nutritionist say, follow their instructions and you will do great!

Good Luck!
