is anyone taking multi vitamin capsules

Recommended Posts

I am 7 weeks out - I am taking all normal vitamins/meds. I do have to break some meds into two so they go down easier.

I take calcium citrate in tablet form, Iron in capsule form, acid reducer in capsule form and Bariatric Advantage multi Vitamin in capsule form. Been swallowing capsules since I was in the hospital.

I started taking regular Vitamins about 6 weeks out. Have you tried Flintstones chewables ? That is what my doctor recommends right after surgery.

R they hard 2 swallow

Nope not at all..but one day at about two and a half weeks out I forgot I was sleeved and popped five pills (two multi Vitamin, two Calcium, and my acid reducer) all at once and had kind of an OSM as they were going down.. but nothing happened, I didn't even feel them. The biggest pills are the calcium citrate.. I take the "petite" size which are only petite, when compared to the regular size "horse pill" calcium supplements. The Multivitamin capsules from Bariatric Advantage are smaller than my acid reducer or the antibiotic capsule I was prescribed after surgery.

I take the Flinstones chewables.. It works well I take mine and my son takes his! He thinks its funny that his old mom is taking the same vitamins!! Lol. I also take the solutabs of Prevacid and a B12. Thru actually taste good.. Cherry flavor!! :-) the only actual pill I take and I've been taking since the day I came home from the hospital is my synthroid. But it's a very small pill.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
