3 years out in July and a NSV to top them all...

Hello fellow sleevers,

I am now just over 6 weeks post TT and uplift and I can't tell you how happy I am that I have turned the corner. I ain't gonna lie, it has been a tough 6 weeks, not physically but mentally and emotionally but that is for another post...

Anyhoo, today is the first day that I have been able to wear my post op jeans (my original size goal; UK 14) - before now the swelling was sooo bad, even with compression garments and control pants on that they wouldn't do up and were tight on the legs... booo!

I wore them today and they were big... yes big! So, as we were shopping I picked up a new pair, one size smaller as an incentive and a 'work in progress' pair. I couldn't wait to try them on and when I did... drum roll please... they only bloody fit!

Yes, I could do them up, all the way and I could sit in them. Ok, so they were a little tight but not too tight that I felt like I was about to turn blue and pass out...lol.

As a foot note, I am the same weight now as I was pre TT even though the surgeon removed nearly 3 1/2 lb of skin (that is one mighty apron, apparently the 'normal' or average amount of skin removed weighs around a pound!) So, perhaps when all the swelling has gone away they will be my new 'comfy' jeans!

I have not been able to fit in a size UK 12 (US 8-10?) for over twenty years... I can't put in to words how happy, proud and well, chuffed to Beans I am!

Did I say I was happy? lol

Oh, when I saw my PS he cleared me for light exercise and light ab work... so today i did 100 squats - easy peasy - 20 push ups of the table x 2 and 20 pelvic curls with 20 upper curls... so, that is another NSV!!

I think that I might be getting my mo jo back...lol!

It wasn't a dream... They still fit thus morning!

Wow, congratulations on a wonderful NSV! That's got to feel (and look) so wonderful! You are a great inspiration :)

Coops! I am so happy for you! You are an inspiration for long-term success!

For us long-term members, we really have been through thick and thin together and I know how hard you have worked to lose that last few lbs. Who knew? Three pounds of skin is huge amount from such a tiny area. I can't wait to see a little picture whoring :-)

Thank you both...

Lynda, photos, me? Why I'm so shy...lol! ;)

Three pounds of skin is huge amount from such a tiny area.I never thought of it like that, but yes, you have a very real point! I think the pressure and extra weight concentrated in that area added to the back problems I was having that stopped me exercising! My plan now is to focus on some strength work, especially in the abs, overall toning and light cardio to prepare myself to return to the boxing gym! Well, that is the plan!!

When the swelling is under control I will post some... promise x

"Chuffed to beans" OMG, I'm sitting here with the biggest smile on my face. I love you and your Brit-Speak. I'm going to have to try and remember that one.

I'm soooooooo happy for you Coops. This journey has been a long one and when you are almost 3 years post-op it's hard to find a big NSV, and ta da, you DID IT! Love this and am so excited for you.

The worst is over, bring on the BEST! :D

M2G... THANK YOU... you know what, a compliment from you means so much! You have been there all the way for me and I hope we continue to connect!

Hahahaaa, I love that 'Brit speak'! It's just the way I roll....lol x

Coops, my friend, congrats!! You have been altogether too hard on yourself for not reaching a particular scale weight. This is a huge NSV and I hope you're enjoying it!

It's not all about the scale and you know that. Three years, no regain and getting fitter every day is nothing to shrug off.

So happy for you!

Yes, three years is approaching fast and things are just getting better and better. I think it has something to do with gaining confidence and strength, both physically and mentally!

this put a really big smile on my face... CONGRATS!!! Im so happy for ya

Coops you've done it! I am so excited for you. This has been a tough journey and you have worked so hard to get into those new jeans ! It encourages me to her back to focus on getting the 4 lbs on that I gained in maui. You are my hero you sexy hot Goddess! :)

Ms Skinniness, you'll do it... 4lbs! HA! I dear you to stay on my friend... be gone and be gone NOW!!

SO, yea, size 12... and I've only gone and bought some more...lol... a pair of shorts and a pair of trousers! It is all getting a little too much here...lol

And how about this for a laugh... I bought 2 sun dresses (short sleeves) and I bought a 14 cos I wanted them loose! HAHAHA... I wanted them loose! I've also ordered a bikini... not a tankini but a proper bikini! Whether it will fit or not is another matter, and whether I will wear it in public is also up for debate - I'm sure my 15yr daughter will put me right on whether or not it is a good move! We shall see!

Seriously, I think I am going a little crazy!

Coops, Hugs to you my dear.....I love hearing about your cross addiction of shopping now....LOL You deserve the best and I hope you go out in public and ROCK that bikini.........You put a smile on my face! :)
