I am hoping to make the July list! I am just waiting on a insurance now. Everything was submitted last week. I already have vacation scheduled in July so hoping it all works out and can have it then.

I don't have an exact date. So far they are telling me mid-July. Yes, it seems all I think about now. I'm an older sleever - 67. Was afraid they would tell me I'm too old! I've been obese for about 30 years. Of course, I've tried and lost and gained several times over the years. I really want to spend the rest of my life in the best health possible. Don't feel old yet and don't want to!

Hi lilyrose - I just found out today that my surgery date is 7/9. I'm 58 and wish I had done this sooner, but sometime is better than no time. I'm going to spend the next few weeks getting all the goodies I need and start writing down ideas for meals when we can eat. I went to a local support group tonight and 5 former patients were there to tell their story and for encouragement. Glad I went. Good luck to you - I'll be sure to check for your posts to see how you are doing.

Sorry I didn't get back with you on this.

I have been buying applesauce/ pudding/ Jello and trying to get used to the texture. I used to hate all these non chewable foods, but apparently that is the point now. :)

I also bought the sample packs of Unjury Protein packets. I tried the chicken Soup this am, and was sadly disappointed. I don't know what it was, but I could not stomach it at all.

I have a couple of boxes of sugar free Popsicles in the deep freeze too.

That's my plan. I don't want to have to run out in the first couple of weeks to the grocery store full of food that I can't eat, just to buy liquids.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
