Defensive much?

When posting on a public forum you're going to get public opinion. That's kind of a given. If that bothers you' date=' you may want to rethink posting the questions you're obviously sensitive about.[/quote']

Blah' date=' blah, blah.

No one attacked anyone. No one attempted to interfere with anyone's rights. No one judged anyone. Suggestions were offered, at her request. If someone doesn't want suggestions, don't post it publicly.

If you're old enough to drink then you should be old enough to handle various feedback and make your own decision... Without whining about the opinions you don't like.

Sheesh.[/quote']

Oh to the op, it looks like you got some good suggestions.. The only thing I could add is when drinking the first time go slow.. It really made me flush and sweaty when I drank more than a few sips.. It's hard to explain but it made me feel like crap for a few minutes and scared me a bit.

Add PMSing too. Not my best moment, I will own that.

My apologies for the "blah blah blah" part of the comment. In the future I will leave such comments in my head.

I like to drink "Dirty Shirleys" It is Vodka, Sprite, Grenadine and Lime juice,

If made correctly there is VERY little carbonation bc the soda is diliuted so much with the grenadine, lime juice and vodka... I use sprite zero in mine...

I am in my sister's wedding in May and I was wondering what to drink... By choice I drink Red Wine regularly but I hate to drink it when I go out and there could be pictures involved bc I HATE the purple tinge to my teeth... I was so happy when someone introduced me to the dirty shirley, the first time I had it was in NYC when we saw Chicago last month it was the Theater's featured drink for the show :)

I'm almost 5 months postop and had my first drink last night (vodka and cranberry with lime). Like a poster above stated to drink it slow and see how you do. Definitely do that. I too got flushed very quickly and had body sweats. It was very strange and I did drink it slowly. Good luck and have fun at the wedding!

I would suggest you consider skipping alcohol all together or get something like a vodka and cran with lime.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
