EYE CANDY

2 weeks old, i remember when you were a new born

moving along - getting more and more Protein and Water in - good for you

feeling back to your "normal" self ^_^

good!!!!! :)

just curious about eating chicken breast so early after WLS? but all docs/NUTS are different, and i'm sure they gave you the go ahead, and you are eating and chewing very slowly and carefully :)

take care bud

I am really glad you are on the up and up, that you had a good day. As with previous reply, I am a little surprised at you eating chicken breast at only 2 weeks post op. do be careful and listen to you doctor/nut on food stages. Most struggle with chicken breast even after starting solids at 5-6 weeks post op. eating too dense of food before the right time may affect you negatively so please think about what you are eating post op. regardless, congrats to your good recovery so far.

I got the ok from my nut . Small moist pieces of chicken. It was her way of me getting more Protein in. It was a small piece and I counted to 30 before I sallow each piece. Lol

I hope it was 30g of Protein, not 30 oz! :)

Your stomach is not ready for food, all you are doing is creating a problem for down the road, take it from a person who suffered miserably from eating whole foods too early. And you should be taking 60-80% Protein at this time or you'll lose your hair.< /p>

It was ok by my doctor and I don't eat chicken everyday. That was just a first. I'm trying to get more Protein in but drinking it is not helping much. Thanks for the advice I will be very mindful

Good for you being able to eat the chicken at your own pace. You go girl! Don't worry about the nay-sayers. I would like some chicken too. If you got the ok to have it - then enjoy every bite. Luckily for us, the nay-sayers probably do not have a license to practice medicine. Otherwise we'd all starve.

I'm glad you had a good day. My first 2 weeks were pretty rough. I'm now 4 weeks post-op and feeling great. Stay the course...:-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
