Smh... This thread is shot and bringing out the worst in people. I dealt with this abuse in high school and now I hear this kind of crap from the people who should have the most sympathy.

Bullies are not limited to children.

Eek! She was 40 BMI she didn't mean to disrespect ... It's ok everyone ... And no it wasn't disrespect "the bro" comment .. It's like a neutral - peace ...

Ok unless some unforeseen circumstances come up I will be having surgery. Although I'm not sure if ill be welcome on here for useful tips after... It will be "stop complaining we told u it wasnt easy! "Lol ... Maybe ill sneak back in under a diff name? Lol ....

You wouldn't take that fun away from us!! Would you?? Hehehe...

Amanda Rae, these people from NZ are really friggin rude. I'm not so sure though if its because they're from New Zeland or If It's because they are thin and we are/were fat. Read back to the beginning of this thread when they were personally attacking me. The type of things they said to me were the type of insults that thin people throw at fat people. That's because these people are thin and want to be REALLY thin via VSG surgery. A person who was heavy in their life, even for a short time, would NEVER say those things to a person who is heavy because they know how they must feel. Being fat is hard. When I reach goal I will always know the struggles of people with serious weight issues.

We all are in the same war ... If I said anything it was tryin to get you to realise its a very slippery slope from 30 BMI UPWARDS. And the liver : I feel is fact as to why I don't have to do the pre op diet - just facts not meant to be mean but you and your mate started telling me I need therapy - and I don't believe you are registered to suggest that. We were making the point of dont u wish a little you'd done it before you got to your max? It would of been easier and safer for you. None of us can do it on our own and wed all like this amazing technique to make life a little easier.

yeah I agree well the only time I really call people fat is if its a fat ex or my bfs sister but I only called her fat ONCE and she hates me lol but I never call any one I don't know fat because I don't know their struggles and it really is hard being fat...

Frank FYI there is a whole lot of women here in the states having it for the same reason!! One lady even started a thread about "who did this for vanity only" sad but true!!

Listen this is a money making business.. I always thought the lap band was the McDonalds of WLS because of all the advertising.

now I'm seeing just as many commercials, ads, and billboards for VSG... Its being marketed as an easy procedure and well it's working..

I never once mentioned therapy. Nor have I criticized your choice. The most therapeutic thing I mentioned was listening to the Beatles.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
