I'm 5 days post op. had some complications as my sleeve twisted so I couldn't keep any thing down . Got out of the hospital yesterday a today Im feeling good . I don't feel 100% but I guess its normal . Struggling with my fluids intake, so I'm sure how I'm going to get in 1.5L a day. Tell me this will get easier !!![/quote']

Oh bugger ! Hope your ok now . It will get better , I never drank the full amount ,it was impossible . Just keep sipping , I found Water on its own heavy so I had diet cordial or I sipped on white tea .

Hi Linky,Im feeling human again...I had a great day yesterday and today and feeling quite normal...was able to take in 60-70 g Protein mixed with 400ml Water. been sipping on it all day and just finished it about 2 hours ago. its nearly 10pm i wont have time to take in any more liquids....i also had 1x multi vitamis; 1x Iron and 1x Calcium. So feeling good in general beside a horrible headacke which has been wih me all day...i feel my head is so heavy; i dont know why. i also took an extra week off, so im still here in Casablanca, flying back home next Wednesday. things are getting better and i can see the light at the end of the tunnel....

Yay good to hear from you. Hang in there and in another week you will feel totally normal . Glad your getting everything in , your doing better than I did . :)

Hi linky, how you going? back home 5 days ago!!! Feeling really good an normal!!! Lost 10kg so far and happy about it!! Still on liquid diet , Protein shakes, optislim Soup ( can only have 1/8 a day!) , plain yogurt ( 1/8 a day) and 1 optislim shake a day. Taking all my Vitamins too... Water not doing so well 600ml a day!!!!

I'm 3 weeks out today, my doctor want me on liquid for 4 weeks then gradually start eating food.., I'm scared to eat any thing...I'm enjoying my liquids!!!

How you going Lincky? What's your progress ? How is your good intake? Are you able to eat much?

Hey hey good to hear from you, glad your doing great . Congrats on your 10 kg lost your doing awesome .

I'm 17 kg down and have hit another stall for the last 2 weeks , drives me nuts. I'm eating more now but have been spewing quite a bit with meats . So I have resorted back to soft foods again and Soups . Still not getting enough Protein in tho but my Fluid intake is awesome.

Hi Lincky, good to hear from you. Today is my fourth week post op. I was able to almost finish 1/4 cup of home made chicken soup.., I had no discomfort, so feeling generally good!!!.,I'm struggling though with Constipation .., any advise as what I should take?? Did you experience this? In thinking to have some oat in the morning..,, but I'm scared to eat it!!! By the time I finish my Protein Shake .,,I'm full already!!!

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

        I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

        Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
