I had surgery on June 10th so yeah I am in the 6 weeks of my body reajsuting. Thank You! I needed that. My Dr never told me that. I was telling my husband that I think my body is adjusting to my new diet and it will catch on to the idea that I am not starving myself and this is how life will be like from now on. I agree the smaller clothes is a much nicer reward that the number on a scale. I did get rid of a bunch of clothes and still had some that fit. But after this go around of clothes I am going to be naked unless I go shopping. I think I am good for a few weeks may be a month or two. My good friend started calling me Lilly' date=' as in Lilly Tomlin the incredible shrinking woman. I see that I am loosing and I feel bones I have not felt in a very long time. This morning I finally lost 3 pounds. I was shocked. I am happy to have lost and feel bad for complaining. I am so scared that this surgery will not work for me because nothing ever worked before. I eat less than 1000 calories a day. I walk when I have a chance. I finally have more energy and I am doing so much more than I did last month. I guess I am scared. I so want this to work. I am tired of loosing and regaining the weight and even more weight. Thanks again. I am so happy for your advice. You Rock![/quote']

I'm right there with ya! Surgery date June 6. Slow go the last couple of weeks. I wish my Dr had told me not to weigh-- would have saved me a lot of frustration & grief. scale started moving again yesterday. 2.3 lbs in 2 days..

Good luck. I am ready for change and I am hoping that I will continue to see the scale going lower and lower each week. I only weigh myself once a week. One of my friends on the June forum, Frank told me he does that and I liked the idea. I got less scale conscious after talking to him, but still would hope for a weekly loss. I know that we will get there. The journey is long but it is so worth it.

This is going to be TMI for some people....but as a woman who has suffered from PCOS and infertility and no natural monthly cycles....I would like to report that I had a cycle start 5 days after my surgery (surgery date june 12) and then I started another cycle today....I cant believe it is finally coming from what seems to be on a normal schedule. I pray that this happens every month so when goal is reached babies can be made without intervention from a fertility specialist :-)

I see my Dr on Wed and I will be asking her about increasing the Protein. I am tall, too, and no one has ever mentioned it before. Thanks for the info!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
