Looking to go see Dr. Garcia

Question for everyone that has gone to mexico for surgery.

What do you do for any follow up visits?

What do you do if you have any complications when you get home?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Joe

I use my PCP for all after care and if there's a complication he refers me (as he did with my band complications), to a barbaric specialist in the area

Do in depth researching and be sure to talk to many patients of a variety of MX drs. Everyone here is more than willing to tell you their experience .. Just pm them

Good luck!

Lol.. Hey, when you're at deaths door you get the high mucky muck doc .. Actually I had several, but y'all know what I mean :P

I went to my regular family doctor for any post op care that I needed. He even did my routine blood work for me. He was really supportive of my getting weight loss surgery.

When my gallbladder went bad, the ER referred me to a surgeon. I was afraid that he wouldnt want to do my surgery because i had VSG in Mexico just 12 weeks prior. He didnt care at all.

I have heard of doctors not wanting anything to do with patients who went to a different country, but I have not experienced that yet.
