  1. I remember being pre-op and my favorite thing to do was look at progress photos and dream I am 6 months, 10 days post op and I am down 128 pounds total. This isnt a very great pic since I have been sick, but i still took it because anything is better than my before!!
  2. I have always been sensitive to smell but after i had surgery it was 10 times worse! I smell everything from a mile away. My husband doesnt have a sense of smell at all, so he thinks i'm nuts I also have a heightened sense of taste which is far worse for me because I couldnt stomach Protein shakes anymore. I drank them everyday for months pre op. but afterwards all i could taste were chemicals and the whey. No flavoring could mask it. I would stand over my sink gagging. I am 5 months post op and it has calmed down a little. Or I am just used to it
  3. I was sleeved on the 14th too
  4. Premier chocolate flavor is awesome! Tastes like chocolate milk. I am not a fan of their vanilla. The only vanilla i like is by EAS. I like getting the most bang for my buck--protein wise. So i always start with a premier chocolate shake for breakfast because it has 30 grams of protein.
  5. My friend went to him last month. She really liked her experience there.
  6. Yes it has been great. Groggy at times and sleepy but every time i woke i just walked and chewed ice. Barely any pain!
  7. Me too! Me too! It was so nice to walk the hall with you Alex!
  8. One of the things i am looking forward to is putting on the shirt i got when i finished a race. We walked it, of course, but finishing a 7 1/2 mile walk was a huge achievement. Unfortunatly, i got the largest shirt they had! But it didnt fit. I want to wear that shirt proudly, as hevy as i am, i did the race AND finished when even some of my skinny friends couldnt.
  9. I did find someone on here that has surgery on the 14th so I will definitely be saying hi to them!
  10. I am just a few days before you girls! My surgery is the 15th, so i guess i will be heading to the hotel the day you ladies get there bummer!
  11. I was told 2 checks also. Boyh made out to dr. Kelly but one goes to the hospital. Luckily there wasnt an issue with fitting the name on, i checked as soon as i seen this post!
  12. Thank you to all for the information. I leave for surgery with Dr. Kelly on the 14th (surgery the 15th!)
  13. I agree on the fb tagging. I freak when someone tags me! One of the things I look forward to the most is to stop worrying about seats so much. Everytime we are going out somewhere i scope out to see if i am going to have a hard time fitting in booths or chairs. I even skipped my sons high school orientation because it was in the auditorium and i knew the chairs were small and the arms didnt move up and down. I have avoided flying anywhere because I dont want to be humiliated when they tell me I need to buy a second seat. And i want to be able to go on rides at amusement parks with my family and not have to pretend i am scared of them....because i am not! I just know i dont fit! I can go on and on! But mostly, i just want my family to be proud! I would love to be under 160. Right now i am 340. I was at a public pool last year with my kids and i heard a jerky teenager says "God, why do they let fat people in the pool....its so gross!" i was thankful that my kids didnt hear it. But my goal is to never have to have my kids hear that. And i am sure they already have at school--they say they havent. But kids can be mean-- never again should they have to be embarrased by me!!
  14. Damanda, if i am still there, i will come say hi! Gigi, i hope to see you too!!
  15. I am so ready! And excited! I have cried a few times only because I have a 14 year old and a 10 year old and I never leave them to go anywhere!! But I am fully confident in my decision!! I am so excited to look towards the future! Flying in on the 14th, surgery on the 15th!
  16. Never mind. It never occurred to me to go to the actual website until after I posted this! lol All fixed
  17. I am getting my surgery the 15th with Dr.Kelly
  18. Originally made my account on my ipad. I downloaded the app on my iphone and tried to log in but it keeps saying wrong username/password. I cannot for the life of me figure out what my password is and cannot seem to find a way to get it on the site? Any help?
  19. I was told that I did not need one, but being the extra prepared person i am decided to go apply for one. I asked the clerk if i expedited it, would it be back within 3 weeks? She said yes. Well i was just looking at my reciept and noticed that she didnt charge me for expedited! Not only that, but with my application is my only birth certificate!!! I am in bummer town right now since it is 11 pm and not a darn thing i can do about it until tomorrow :*(
  20. My surgery is August 15th.
  21. Cathy, do you live close enough to go? Or do you need a flight?
  22. Thank you! I am so excited!
  23. Thank you everyone, I am starting to feel better about going alone. My family is flying in with me, but will be staying in the states and hanging out with some people we know and having a fun vacation I feel more comfortable with that plan now!
  24. What was your opinion of Tijuana? I have never left the states before.
