Hi, to clear things up.. when I had my surgery with Dr A. I never had any compltions, I felt safe and had a very good out come.. I just thought in a more traditional hospital setting. I would of received more one on one time.....it was just kind of small and cramped..

I was sleeved by dr almanza, on June 14,2013... doing good .. just know that the surgi type center is very small, older but clean...the hotel was amazingly beautiful. If I were to do it over, I would have paid the extra to be in a full hospital. If you have more questions feel free to pm me

I just wonder why, the different doctors, are so different on their pre -op diets??? some 2week, some 5 day, some 3, some none!!!

I am having surgery in 2 weeks. I have chosen to have my gallbladder removed also.. both of my parents, and a sister, had to have theirs out. my daughter had the bypass surgery, and 4 weeks post op she had to have hers removed....

I was wondering the same thing, who do I tip and how much..

hi, I have a little bit higher BMI but my liquid diet will be for 5 days, I may have any flavor broth, sugar free jello. sugar free ice pops, sugar free juice, crystal light, diet snapple, coffee, tea, with sugar sub, you can add protien powder to just about any of the above my primary care giver here told me to use glursna..the key to thquid diet is low sugar, and low carb.. no solids of any kind. the place I am going to emailed, pre op and post op diets and instructions.. hope this helps. earthmomma

OH no now Im scared.... I am supposed to have my surgery there june, 15th , I already have the cashiers ck made out to them, not sure what to do now. I have resurched for months now and just seeing this. any advice out there.

ashley, I am so glad to see that someone from Oregon, is going to mexico for their surgery. I live in Prineville, Ore a little town about 40 miles from Bend.. Charlisea. so glad to hear some positive... I will be going to same hospital, but Dr Abril, their weekend surgon.

hi, I also worry about this, I have to do a 5 day liquid diet before my surgery. my dr said the clear liquid diet day get unflavored protien powder and mix with water. the day of I worry too..good luck

that is who my dr was going to be.. but I had to change my dates, ive heard great reviews about him, In my resurch dr abril is very good also.. Im not going until June 14, 2013..

ashley, I I have been resurching for months now. I have found a few negative posts but nothing that anyone would ctime..onfirm..I think that if we go into this, knowing that it is a sergi center, it will be fine IF there is a big emergency, there are other full service hospital close if needed.. I dont know about you, but here, they do sugeries in our sergi center all the time. I am confident and good to go. who is your dr?? mine is Dr Abril, he does their weekend surgeries.. Now I am just waiting for time to fly by.. hope it hurries

Hi, my surgery is set for June 15, 2013 fly to san deigo on the 14th . my dr will be Dr Abril.. and it will be at the jerusalem hospital...(sergi-center)..

has anyone out there had their surgery in Tijuana, mexico? Trying to do some resurch .. I will be having my sleeve done there at the Jerusalem hospital ,by Dr Abril in June. Just wish Iknew if I was doing enough checking, but dont know where else to go. I would be thankfull for any input.
